First, log in to your WordPress admin panel.
Click the Menus link under the Appearance section.
We’re going to skip over creating the menu’s contents for now and focus on using the Custom Menu widget.
After you’ve created, named, and saved your menu (in this example, ours is called Main Menu
), open the Widgets page under the Appearance section.
You can place a custom menu in your site’s Top Bar Left or Top Bar Right. In this example, we’ll click Top Bar Left to expand the box. Now drag TheThe Custom Menu widget from the widget list over to the Top Bar Left area. Give it a name and select any menu, like the one you just created on the Menus page. With the pre-installed Widget Context plugin, you can choose to show different menus on different pages by checking any of these boxes. Save your changes, and you’re finished!
Now visit your homepage in another browser window and your new menu will appear at the top right or the top left.
Note that you can create several custom menus, using both sides of your top bar.
Play around with this feature until you find the perfect way to lay out your menus.
